Right. He got out of the car, they administered a sobriety test, which he failed, and they tried to arrest him. He stole a taser and ran, so they chased him. While running, he turned and pointed the stolen taser at the cop. Not sure why the cops are at fault for that. Everything was going smoothly until HE resisted arrest, stole a taser, and ran.

The officer did the right thing. The drunk man stole the taser and pointed it at the cop as he was running away. The officer used self defense. The drunk man should have cooperated from the get go. No officer can just walk away and say “sure, you’re drunk but since you’re going to walk now and not drive, no problem. You’re scott free”
Whoever suggested such stupidity is probably also in favor of defunding the police so we are ruled either by gangs or private security.
If an officer allows a drunk driver to just walk away, and then this driver gets in his car and kills someone, you’ll all bash the officer for not arresting the drunk driver from the get go and preventing a needless death.
The officer did not escalate the situation. The drunk man did.
Smh. Some of you don’t want to see the details or truth. You’re just ready to bash the officers no matter what. Well I hope you’re never in a position where you need their help because then you’ll realize how foolish you sound now.

The guy was in thr drive thru line. His car wasn't moving because he had fallen asleep. He had obviously driven drunk to get to that point in line and had someone knocked on his window and woken him he'd have continued driving drunk.

Rioters burning down the Wendy's attacked the CNN crew filming. Make no mistake they do not "discriminate " in attacking. Everyone is a seen as an open target. They do not "discriminate" on someone's politics or views or...real "equal opportunity" to be attacked.
This is what some people are voting for or supporting...?!

less responsive to crime and 911 calls - which results in an increase in crime and MORE BLACK DEATHS.

But Black Lives DO NOT MATTER - unless it can be used to attack whites and/or police.

Somewhat off topic, but the police in Israel keep their weapon on a coiled bungee cord. They have range of movement, but the weapon is clipped to their belt. Nobody can just grab it and run away, without taking the whole cop with them.

This is probably a two dollar solution, per cop. An ounce of prevention, and all that.
