If it makes you feel the teeniest bit better, literally everyone going on "vacation" now or anytime since Covid hit is just throwing their money in the garbage. There are so many restrictions everywhere you go. Everywhere. Tell yourself that Hashem knows you don't need a pathetic vacation now, He will give you the money when Covid is gone to go on an awesome vacation then.

Stranger things have happened! I bless you that you win one of those awesome vacations from those chinese auction events!

Looks like we'll be joining the club too.

We usually do try to get away for two days in the summer though I live in Israel and the prospects for this or even day trips are looking very slim at the moment with the situation here Sad

So yes I feel for you. I think we're all desperate for a break, especially this year, when everything has been so topsy turvy.

I thought I'm the only one to stay home. Part of it is my choice. I love my winterized home, with great a/c. In my "bungalow" I'm very lucky to have 3 ovens. Its a real luxury don't you think?! I'm from the few ppl to have their own washer/dryer. Believe it or not, but my bungalow is animal free too in case your not jealous enough. I must add that we have our own mikvah in my colony. Very few colonies have that. So here I am loving my bungalow and my bungalow colony.
