Do you start putting dresses on your girl?

When they’re walking properly and their hair reaches their shoulders.

For shabbos? About 15 months when she started walking well.

Officially at about 4. Younger than that it's more like mini dresses.

For shabbos? Right away with a break when they’re crawling and not walking. I just think it’s cute.
For the week? When she outgrows onesies. Not makpid on it till 3 though.

Definitely not before age 3. 2 of my girls had a summer that they were around 2.5 and had some precious mini dresses for them.
Personally, I don't like regular dresses until age 3-4.

I don’t understand the question it seems.
People keep responding about length. I though the question is what age do you put dresses on babies. Not what age do you cover your babies’ knees.
Is your question about tznius? Or about style? Or about personal preference?

I've seen plenty toddler girls with knee length dresses. I doubt for tznius purposes, but I still don't like it. I based my answer on this.

For tznius reasons at 3.
Personal preference my girls wear dresses (shabbos and sometimes weekday) when they start walking . My kids walk early so before 1 for both .

My daughter wouldn’t wear dresses till she was 6 if we go by hair length

Depends on the height of the kid, not the age.
I don't like big kids in leggings or pants, nor do I like tiny kids in dresses.

I was asking about style. I think before 2 is nerdy, unless she has enough hair to pull it off earlier.
But I’ve seen some very with it moms put dresses on earlier so I’m curious if it’s just me
For those that do mini dresses, I assume that means dresses only in the summer?

I personally can’t imagine taking a little girl old enough to walk, to shul, in pants. (I assume pants are the alternative to dresses)

In the winter it's mini dresses with knit tights or leggings.

What would you all recommend for an almost 2 year old girl, for shabbos? Can't decide between dress, short dress with leggings or a set of top and leggings. I don't want it to look too babyish. They sell rompers for this age, with tights for winter but that seems a bit much, what with changing pampers...

For Shabbos I like dresses.
Weekday I would do top and pants, or rompers

I also think it’s nerdy. A dress below the knee on a crawling baby....
But a mini dress can be so adorable. You can do tights with it in the winter.
Once they are 2.5,3 (or a certain height) dresses right over the knee are cute. I’d keep it that length until they are 6-7 and then they can wear a regular length.

A short dress with tights?
Changing diapers with a romper are a pain.
