Any tips on how to get my 1 year old to stop hitting (especially those that hold said child)? Thanks

hold his arm, keep him/her from hitting. Perhaps sternly say "No"...
But don't be depressed if you have to repeat this again and again...
Many one-year-olds hit... also to explore people's reaction, no really evil thought behind it...

Oh for sure I know it’s normalish and doesn’t affect me, just wondering what I can do to stop it. I have tried saying no which only makes them laugh. And holding arms how long can one do that after about a minute of squirming I let go and boom another slap. Oh well, hopefully they’ll grow out of it.
