I cut it myself in the bathroom when I notice it grew too long
Looks fine in a pony under a shaitel or snood

usually a sheitelmacher; sometimes my older daughter who knows a bit about hair cutting, if she's around. once my mom did it years ago when she was here. I think I had my husband hack it off erev pesach once when I was desperate and didn't have a chance to go to the sheitelmacher in time...
(all the sheitelmachers I've known over the years also give haircuts and are usually a lot cheaper than a salon)

Sheital machers in my neck of the woods charge a lot IMO (like 40$ just to chop, not style).
My DDs cut my hair (I cut theirs, and they LOVE to cut mine). DH is fine with that and so am I .

yeah I would never pay 40! it's more like 10-15 here. even then I ask my daughter when she's around rather than pay that
