My pre-schooler always wants to do things in a certain way or a particular order. If you change the order, he gets very upset. Does anyone else have a child that acts this way? Is there a way to get him to be more flexible without crushing his independence?

One of my dcs is like that...I try to prepare him for when there will be changes to the routine...tell him ahead of time, try to give him choices in whatever change is goign to occur. I am trying to help him develop a little bit of flexibility and slowly this is working...
