Forgive me for hijacking this thread please. We are located in Brooklyn and cannot taking a permit test anywhere for the past few months.
How are people getting permits?

A friend of mine took the test online and then made an appointment at dmv for the paperwork

Thank you Fleetwood. I did not see this option online.
I did hear of people going to Hudson Valley but that’s 2.5 hours away from where I live.
I will definitely try to see whether I can do an online test.

I looked it up. The online test is only available to select people who already have an in-person appointment!! So silly. It is impossible to get an appointment anywhere in NYC although they ask you to schedule in your county of residence.

No. Young guy, maybe upper 20s. By me he had a small red car, but it was about 5 years ago.

Michoel that I used was not upper 20’s
He was more like 40’s if not older...
This was about 6 years ago

I made an apt at Coney island location. The next available was end January. Made the apt in Oct.

They didn't give an online option. From what I understood this appointment is for in person permit test
