Is there a difference between toasted sesame oil and just plain sesame oil in dishes like fried rice, sesame noodles, etc.??
Do you have a specific brand/type of sesame oil to recommend? That is available at heimishe stores or at a chain like shoprite?

Toasted has that dark color complex flavor, and is used for that, as a finishing oil. Not to be used for frying (or it will give a burned taste). The Eden brand is widely available.

yes toasted sesame has a more intense flavor than regular sesame as ra mom said, but I've recently noticed that some brands that are just called sesame oil on the label, are actually toasted sesame oil (according to the ingredient label on back)

While Trader Joe's is cheap, there are better deals to be had at discount groceries.
