What sort of large mat would be useful for a baby who is just starting to crawl? She crawls on the carpet, but it's not really such a soft carpet. I would like to get something soft, not foam, and not something with childish pictures, because it will be in the living room/ dining room- more like a ruggy thing that would sort of blend in.
Thanks for any suggestions

Within just a few weeks your baby will BE”H be adept enough at crawling to crawl right off that mat. It’s likely not worth it.

I disagree with posts saying he’ll crawl in a few weeks and you won’t need it anymore.
My baby didn’t crawl till over 1 - I’ll never know if part of the reason was because he wasn’t comfortable.
I also kept thinking he’ll be crawling off the mat before I know it.
The kitchen floor was probably cold.
The first time he moved forwrd was not on the hard floor.
Looking back, I don’t think it would hurt.
Get the mat.
Make the child’s surroundings child friendly
