I had this with one of my kids. when we sleep trained him and I weaned him,after that, he woke up at 5:30am nearly every morning and nothing I did could put him back to sleep. I took him out of the crib and went to the playroom where he played with my barely staying awake to watch him, on the couch. until my older kids woke up at around 6:45 they'd come out and they woudl watch him so I could go back to bed for another 45 mins or so.
for my other kids, I would freeze a sippy cup of milk and put it in their crib before I went to bed. in the morning, they'd wake up and drink it (it was nice and cold b/c it started out frozen) and either go abck to sleep or play with some toys in the crib until I came to get them.
I hope this helps. if not, I guess the only other thing to do is go to bed earlier like others have said. it stinks, but what else can you do?
