If you eat cholov stam, I get one of those microwavable mini cakes, I think they are betty crocker and I put a scoop of icecream on top, yum and takes about 60 seconds for the total preparation.

This pie tastes very similar - it's also extremely easy and a HUGE hit!

The sweet, creamy richness of a brown sugar base makes this chocolate chip pie a perfect foil for chopped nuts and whipped or ice cream. Serve with strong coffee or tea.

Estimated Times:
Preparation - 15 min | Cooking - 55 min | Cooling Time - 15 min cooling | Yields - 8
Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell *
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 cup chopped nuts
Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Directions:
PREHEAT oven to 325° F.

BEAT eggs in large mixer bowl on high speed until foamy. Beat in flour, granulated sugar and brown sugar. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts. Spoon into pie shell.

BAKE for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between edge and center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.

I've made it for the last two shabbosim - and I'm making it again this week. I've never made such a great dessert.

I usually make it in a chocolate pie shell. . . it's so good!

Thanks Defy, they were great. Very rich, we liked it in the mini pie crusts. the taste was fabulous. I skipped the nuts, since I have a few nut dislikers in the crowd.

Yum!!!

I use a 9 inch Pillsbury chocolate pie shell (but yes, it's the same size as the standard graham cracker pie shell). I think it's Pillsbury, whatever it is, it's pareve.
