Does anyone have experience baking cakes in a Pyrex pan? Whenever I bake cakes in my pyrex pan I always get a thick crust sort of thing-it doesn't usually happen in other pans.
Are there some modifications to the baking temperature in Pyrex?

IF I remember correctly, the pan gets way hotter than aluminum. So you have to drop the temperature when baking.

Right, I think you're supposed to drop the temp by 25 degrees
I use pyrex but don't really notice any crust

Right. Ditto for Corningware or any ceramic.

I've done it - thick glass stay very hot and cooks the crust a bit much ... yeah I would lower the temp ...

Think you are supposed to lower the temp from 350 to 325 and bake it 10 minutes less than usual because the glass retains heat so the cake continues to cook after you take it from the oven.
