Halibut is a very meaty fish with lots of flavor. I would just broil it with lemon as CM suggested. I would make a marinade of lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and whatever other spices you enjoy.

I do halibut a million ways, but this is one of our favorites:

I add red pepper, sauteed in advance, and pineapple chunks and juice. I serve it with rice and a green vegetable on the side.

I, too, used to not know how to make halibut. That's why Yael let me start the private board for women like me. Sadly, I followed a few recipes and had to leave the board. I miss those women!

The Board for Women Who Can't Make Halibut. It's in the Recipe area. Not to be confused with the "Board for Women Who Can't Make Halibut and Are Over 30," which is a splinter group I didn't approve of.

Now do you see why we are anonymous? Our secret shame would be dismissed by those who have had years of making halibut.
