I need to write a poem for some very special people in our life, who are extremely dedicated and do a lot within the organization they work for, and also go above and beyond for us. I want to put it in a small frame so they can keep it if they choose, which will be included in their shalach manos.

Can an appreciative poem be heartfelt and flowery, or is that too cheesy? If it's not cutesy, should it be written in prose instead? Or can it be an upbeat cutesy poem, but then, is it the type of thing to put in a frame?

I'm a little lost here and it's late. Please, someone, help me out!

It's so nice of you to show your appreciation.

Prose is always better. It comes across as more heartfelt and less artificial.

Could something like that be put in a small frame for them to display?

IDK, I feel like a poem is something you could display but not a regular thank you note?

It would have to be something super special that I wrote for me to feel comfortable framing it for a gift. I think I did it once, for a wedding present that I knew would be appreciated.

Nor would I put some commercial thank you message in a frame.

I'd give a note that I wrote myself, probably not in rhyme, because unless you're outstanding, it's stilted, and then an empty frame for the recipient to use how they choose.
