I’m desperate...
I am busting out of my clothes.
I don’t want to look like this on pesach.
I try to be careful but eventually I give in to my cravings.
I know if I don’t eat I’ll loose weight but that doesn’t work for me. I can’t handle the starving feeling. If I walk around starving I just give up and eat. Help me to find food that makes me feel satisfied.
Is it even possible to loose 5-10 pounds by pesach??? I’m not asking for 50!

Pressuring yourself to lose weight by a deadline only reinforces disordered eating.

You can set goals, but you should prioritize making healthy choices over simply losing weight.

Like others have said above, it takes a mindset change and won't happen overnight-- and pressuring yourself won't help.

My immediate ideas for the meantime:
Cut out soda. You'll be surprised how much comes off by just doing that.
Less sugar in your coffee/tea (or none at all)
No eating from 7pm to 7am
Work out daily. At least a 30 min walk every day

Here’s my basic guidelines:
Branflakes and milk
Fruit
4 oz salmon in a salad with 1/2 cup of sweet potato
POW cookie
4 oz grilled chicken in a salad with 1/2 cup of sweet potato
Lots of water

I feel the same way . Just like you have put it down. I find myself pushing off every day because there is food wherever I turn. I'm 20 lbs overweight and that feels horrible! So I'm just following the thread as well.

Don’t take on anything hard core that will be difficult to sustain long term.
Don’t eat after dinner (like flower power said)
Water only (not even diet soda or 0 calorie drinks)
No grazing. If you want to eat, mindfully take a portion that you will be ok with having eaten later and eat it at the table, on a plate, using utensils. Enjoy it!
Don’t go sugar free crazy, fat free crazy. Just eat normal, healthy amounts of normal, healthy food. These things still have calories and you can fool yourself but not your scale.
Enjoy your nuts and avocados but bear in mind that although these are healthy fats they are still fats and extremely calorie dense. Don’t go overboard
The main thing is to open your eyes to a healthy lifestyle that may not yield instant and dramatic results, but is still enjoyable and sustainable.

I don’t drink soda or juice
I usually use whole wheat bread and whole grain pasta
I try to measure my portions but often go overboard
I probably don’t drink enough water
I don’t exercise at all and probably should
What do you do when you officially finished your meal and your still hungry a while later?

On weight watchers eating unlimited fruits and vegetables. Brown rice. Quinoa. Protein like salmon and chicken breast and turkey.
Little else. But you can take little cheats so not deprived.

If you don't exercise at all, start. It may or may not help you lose weight, but it's more important than losing weight.
