I've heard uggs quality has gone down terribly. Look at the reviews on the ugg website.

My friends swear by their merrells (I’m not a big slipper person.)

I find the Fit Flop brand gives me good support because I have flat feet. Some people find them uncomfortable there's like a hard ball in the shoe that gives the support. You have to try them and see how they feel but I really like them.

I find slippers without a back make my Achilles’ tendon hurt.

Acorn are super comfortable and long-lasting.

This is what I was going to say. I was gifted ugg slippers back in 2005 and wore those daily for 8 years. I replaced them with the same pair and those lasted 3 years. I replaced those with the same pair and a year later, time for a new pair (I am still wearing them though). I will STILL get a new pair of the same slippers the next time my father offers (he is for some reason the one who always gets them for me, so I get them for a birthday gift when they need to be replaced).

This! I love my Uggs. However after a year it needs to get replaced.

Love my uggs.
I have mine over a year and they are still super comfortable. I wear them every day around the house, so obviously they get worn out, but I think that's just a sign of how often I wear them. How could anyone expect footwear to be worn for long periods of time and last years?

I like FitFlops (but I don't have flat feet).

Also those "massage slippers" with the little rubbery spikes along the insole.

I expect more than a year out of 200$ slippers. They used to last years and years.

Mine are $120, to be fair. But yes, I expected them to last much longer. I buy them only from Nordstrom because they stand behind the product. My most recent pair was bald after 3 months so I brought those back and got a new pair and those are the ones I am wearing now. I will replace them soon IYH. The truth is, they are the best still and the most comfortable.

Dansco clogs!

That’s what nurses and dentists often wear!

Not very fashionable but super comfy and supportive and lasts me 3 years.

My 11 yr old son is now the same shoe size as me and I've discovered that boy adidas slippers are amazing. I took them from him.
