Then maybe he's not ready for more if his teacher has to keep pressing on the brake so far.

I was thinking this also.

OP, does your husband have his permit yet? Does he have a friend with a car who is willing to drive out of the city to country roads and empty parking lots so your husband can just practice not on the clock?

I think he needs to find someone else to go with just to get a fresh set of eyes. Maybe this guy is doing an ok job. But he has no way of knowing that.
It took me a long time to drive because I’m not a naturally good driver. But here I don’t know if your husband is learning slowly or if it’s the instructor that’s a problem.

I mistyped
Was very late when I posted this post 🙈
I meant to say my husbands getting better and better with driving but doesn’t know other big and the tiny parts yet (how to park how to turn on headlights etc etc etc etc)

I guess he has another lesson today.
I’ll ask him later what happened
We don’t have friends who drive cars

Everything in bp is local bh

Except the hospital.
BH we only went to the hospital once just to have our son

I’ve seen some women driving here in Boro park but I don’t think they’re chasidish, or if they’re from here.

I hear it’s not so accepted for a woman to drive a car even for emergency.
I don’t know why Sad

I think after 8 lessons he should know how to do u- turns, k turns and attempt to parallel park.

I took a lot of lessons because I didn't have a car to practice with but the instructor taught me the basics in the beginning. By the 8th lesson I was already taking the test the first time.

Women not driving is a chassidish thing. If you’re living in Brooklyn you usually don’t really need to drive anyway.

Oh and you can send your husband to Lakewood to drive with my husband. He would totally do it.

Hi. Update from Friday morning
The teacher BH BH BH taught my husband how to park.

My husband told me the teacher taught him how to turn on the windshield wipers and headlights and how to do a K turn

Not sure about a U turn

Beep beep and any other local driving school will be finishing their busy season now after pesach maybe its worth waiting for them. 8 lessons just to warm up sounds like a lot even for a very nervous first time driver.

The best way to learn to drive and save money is to go with someone who has a car and time to offer and drive on real roads. At $100/hour, thats a TON to spend to practice.
