I love nursing my adorable 8 month old, but.
BUT
It is soooo painful. While he nurses, he likes to pinch my bre=sts with his fingers, scratching or just touching my skin. Just like some kids get comfy with a blanket and rub it while they relax? He does that while nursing and it really hurts, and could also sometimes bleed no matter how short his nails are cut.
He's cute, I love him, I love nursing him, don't want to give it up, but every time I take his hand away he stops nursing and gets upset.
Ideas?

I completely forgot my oldest used to do this! I used to give him a toy/ stuffed animal/ blanket to hold while nursing. I also think 8m is old enough to start teaching not to pinch. I'm sorry. I remember how frustrating that was!

I wonder if he'll take it. I tried covering myself up till his mouth with my top, but he just shmushes it away.
How do you 'teach an 8 mth old'?

My 9mo old does this too!
You teach by repetition, as with all things. If baby gets too annoyed it's just a matter of whether or not you think it's worth fighting over.
I pull his hand away repeatedly. Eventually he'll get it.

Put a blanket between baby's hand and you so that he can't reach. Bottom hand goes under your arm so he can't reach from there either.

I just end up holding baby's hand and redirect him/her when they do that (I've had several do that)
