Wasn't sure if I should put this in the fish or salad. I decided here, obviously. Does anybody know of a salad recipe made with fresh salmon. I'm cooking a large piece of salmon for shabbos and it'll be too much so I decided to make a salad with it for supper tonight for my kids. They're not going to eat it plain. Thank you in advance.

I have one that is with lettuce and one with pasta. Both good. Here they are:

Asian BBQ Salmon Salad (KBD short on time)
1 1/4 lb salmon
1/2 c. BBQ sauce
2 tsp teriyaki sauce
3 tsp oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp wasabi powder
1 large head romaine (or whatever you have)
1/2 a cucumber
salt & pepper
2 tbsp lemon juice
sesame seeds for garnish

Preheat 350. Spray pan. Cut salmon into 2 inch cubes.

Mix BBQ sauce, teriyaki, 2 tsp oil, garlic powder & wasabi. Put salmon cubes in bowl and toss to coat.

Put salmon in single layer on pan and bake 10-12 minutes- til cooked through.

Combin lettuce and cucumbers. Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice & remaining 1 tsp oil. Place salmon on top. Garnish with sesame seeds.

AND
Salmon/Sesame Noodle Salad
1 lb angel hair pasta
4 tsp oil
2 tsp garlic powder
4 green onions, chopped
6 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp sesame seeds
salmon

Put anything you want on salmon (salt & pepper, teryaki sauce, etc.) Cook salmon in single layer 10-12 minutes at 350.

Cook pasta according to package. Cool. Combine remaining ingredients except sesame seeds & green onions. Toss with pasta.Chill. Before serving add green onions and sesame seeds.

Thanks, it looks scrumpsh! Too late for today, but for another day. I can't get teriyaki sauce or wasabi powder. Can I substitute the teriyaki for soy sauce and what for the wasabi?

For sure. Either leave out the wasabi or throw in something spicy (wasabi is basically horseradish..).

teriyaki is sweet soy isn't, if I were substituting I'd add some brown sugar to the soy sauce/

Thanks, but that me laugh because I can't get brown sugar either, but I'll just use regular sugar. Thanks again to all

I have another one:

Ceasar Romaine salad
Romaine lettuce leaves cut into thin strips
4oz smoked salmon (not lox)*
croutons for garnish

Dressing:
1/3c oil
3 cloves garlic crushed
1T lemon juice
2t worcestershire sauce
2t dijon mustard
salt & pepper

*You can buy this in a black vacuum packed package in a grocery store. they make 3 flavors, I but the regular one.

thank you, it was delicious. I served it with garlic bread. next time I'll make the other one. I didn't because last night I served spaghetti.
