Can I have some vegetables from the chicken b4 Shabbos?

Since the vegetables were cooked in the same pan, can I have some if I don't eat the actual chicken?

I read in a halacha pamphlet that you can't have a pareve item like potato if it was cooked with meat but of course everyone should ask their own Shaila.
