DD and I have matching gold ballet flats. We love them. I don't go for all the trends just because they are trendy, but when something pretty comes out, why not?

I wouldn't because I hate the metallic look. I think it's gauche. (ironically, I love the word gauche.)

If I wore it before I'd wear it now. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it because "It's in style". If it's something I like and would've worn whether it's in or not it's something I'd buy. Thank G-d I'm not a fashion slave.

I love the word too. Maybe it's a Miami thing, but here, gold shoes can be subtle and understated.

It's not the latest trend. It was in last year as well and isn't a new thing this season. I wore gold and silver last summer. I liked the metallic look to my summer clothing. I think black shoes are getting a bit boring.

No, by definition they are an external covering for the human foot, usually of leather and consisting of a more or less stiff or heavy sole and a lighter upper part ending a short distance above, at, or below the ankle of a color lacking hue and brightness.

Actually CY is right. Gold was in 2 years ago, that's when I got mine, along with the bronze. Got my silvers last summer.

This year I'm going for unexpected color.
