Its so hard... This morning was the first time I found myself hiding in the bathroom for some quiet. Its been difficult days and nights... I feel like crying... I am so sad for her that she is going through a hard time. I pray that He helps me help her. And I need strengths. So much strength is needed...

I so relate. As a pandas mom
Some days I just want to give my child away. If you haven't been there you can't understand.

What’s been going on and what have you tried so far?

Unexplainable behaviors. Unexplainable crying. Waking up at night so many times. Still refusing to make in the toilet. She is three and a quarter... Being upset, sad, overly moody, clingy, oh and so much more.
I tried taking her to the pediatrician, took her for hearing tests, went to pediatrician again, got her sand therapy, got her books that speak about emotions, got myself some therapy, and I honestly am trying to be the best mom I can be, trying to have lots of patience, being extra loving, extra quality time.

Have you tried motrin every 6 hours to see if it makes a difference? It can be night and day for some kids.

Thinking of you and your daughter OP. Did the motrin make any difference?

Oh thank you.
You have no idea how much this means to me.
I am debating with myself, hoping inside that my fears aren't right... But what if its Asperger's? Maybe its APD (Auditory Processing Disorder)
The Motrin helped a little... Not too much.
I went with her yesterday to a mommy and me program and she walked in, sat on the chair, covered her ears and didn't want to participate.
We walk into my parents house, she doesn't want to get hugs, she gets anxiety, upset etc.
I spoke to my mom about it and she thinks that my daughter is finding the way to connect to me through this behavior. I don't agree.
The doctor thinks its parenting...
And I am the mom, who knows my daughter so well, who wanted the absolute best for her, who thinks about her and prays for her, and I know there is something wrong.
Is there any specialist who diagnosis kids at the age of 3. evaluates them? I need answers... Not sure in what area. If its emotional, physical or anything else.
Honestly, I am worried and nervous...

I feel you. It’s hard watching our kids struggle.

I doubt it’s your parenting.

I think your child needs a full medical workup.

If they responded to motrin even just a little that can be a big clue. But it’s hard to tell from your post if it really helped or you just wanted to make me feel good Confused

OP the ibuprophen trial can really tell you a lot but it needs to be done consistently, and you really need to watch symptoms carefully.

Can you make a list of some of her symptoms and see if any of themimprove after 3 days on motrin? Emotional issues do not go away with motrin.

My child acted like this at age 4. A neurologist wanted them worked up for autism.

We treated aggressively for brain inflammation and today they are 10 and doing wonderfully.

Yes. I will do that. I will try to give her Motrin the next few days and see if anything is different.
I gave her Motrin yesterday and I feel like it helped some what. Maybe it weared off after some time. I wasn't mindful how many hours later it stopped helping... I'll be more conscious.

I relate to this op, my 3 year old has been exhibiting similar behaviors and I'm getting them evaluated.
It definitely doesn't sound like it's your parenting.
It's so hard, we just want what's best for them and for them to be happy, it's so difficult to know where to turn.

Its hard to keep giving it when we feel like our kid isn’t sick, but it’s important to give every 6 hours to really see if taking down inflammation will make a difference to the behaviors.

SLP here.

OP, sending hugs.

Why do you think its APD?

Was she recently vaccinated before she started to display all these changes?
