dilute the juice and keep on adding more and more water over a time until there is no juice left. It will take a while, but can work.

Don't buy it. Then you won't be able to give in and he will see that your no means now because you just don't have any in the house

I find the only thing with giving just water is they don't drink as much.

Eventually they will. If that is the only thing to drink at home, they will eventually drink it because they are thirrsty.

From 4 months old I start giving water in a cup. They actually get used to it and love it. My toddler drinks tons of water a day. The secret is to get them used to water right away.

My toddler has only ever had water. Small tastes of other drinks now and then, but I've really only ever filled her cup with water. She loves water. When she's thirsty, she takes a drink.

Like flowerpower I started early. With shot glasses of water at six months when we started solids.

If he drinks from a cup why does he need a bottle? Just give him a cup of water before bed

The diluting suggestion might work for the sippy cup at gan.

I think it's time to delete the bottle from the bedtime ritual.

Get him a cup specially for gan. And before bed, give him a cup of water, in the kitchen or on the couch, before bed. He does not need liquids before bed.

Who's bright idea was it to give him juice in the first place? You might as well just give him a lollypop and let him fall asleep with it in his mouth. I hope you like paying dentist bills.

No child needs a bottle in the crib. Not even water. Night time is for sleeping. Give a sip of water before bed, and that's all they need.
