Hi,
I have a pretty old Yamaha DGX 300. I haven't played professionally in years but I am looking to get back into it and record music for girls' plays, etc. I am looking to invest in a keyboard. From my research, it seems that s Korg Krome would be the best fit (well, really a Kronos, but it's way beyond my budget). The Roland fa07 is another option. On the other hand, my 13 year old son who is also getting into playing would love if I would buy one of the PA keyboards, with its beats and "bochurish" sound.
Any thoughts?

WEll, for whom is the keyboard intended primarily? If for you, get what appeals to you and give DS your old one. I don't think I'd let a teen boy mess around with equipment I use for parnassah.
