from what I know the pupik of a chicken is the intestines of the chicken, its the place where the all the junk goes through the chicken...

LOL! The English word for chicken pupiks is gizzards. In my experience, if you want them soft, you have to cook them for at least three hours. Quote: | gizĀ·zard ( P ) Pronunciation Key (gzrd)
n.
A modified muscular pouch behind the stomach in the alimentary canal of birds, having a thick lining and often containing ingested grit that aids in the breakdown of seeds before digestion. |

The pupik of a chicken is the gizzard--a part of the intestine. My mother used to make the most delicious chicken soup using pupicks instead of chicken. They are delicious!

Pupiks are chicken stomachs. One thing about cooking them - when they're koshered, they absorb a lot of salt. You should cook them up once in water, discard that water (or use it as a soup base) and then cook your pipiklach.
Bon appetit!

I made the most delicious pupicks and potatoes.
here it goes: boil the pupicks until fork tender which is about a half and hour or so depending on how much of a quantity you have. after it is fork tender, cut it up in bite size pieces. Saute a ton of a variety of veggi when they are soft but still crunchy throw the pupicks in and heat them up. serve over mashed potatoes. enjoy my hubby gobbled it up even before I finished my first serving
