My yiddish isn't great. What can I send with my son to kindergarten that starts with a vav in yiddish. I want to be a bit more creative than a water bottle. The only other thing I thought of was a stroller. But I don't have one small enough for him to bring.

Ideas?

You can do Varem = warmth.

Gloves/ mittens, hats, etc. That keep us warm.

A blanket.

The first thing that came to my mind, as a non Yiddish speaker, was “velt” so some sort of globe or something?

Thanks. I'm not sure the morah well get what I'm getting at with a blanket. As far as I know, it's a פאַרדעקן.

Velt is a good idea, but I don't think I have one in the house.

if you send something varem (warm) just write a note for the teacher in case your child forgets

Whenever I send show and tell, I write a little note explaining what it is. Let's say you send a white hat, you can write
די ווייסע העט האלט מיך ווארעם (you can write hat in English, it's just not working here.)
Underline the vav so the teacher knows that it's vav.

you can always write a note explaining to the teacher how it is related to vav.

-stop sign, for vart. you can print out coloring sheets with a stop sign or a school crossing scene and have the class color them.

-a toy wolf

-something white

-bandaids , for wounds, vinden

-something wool

-alarm clock, for vekin
