Treat with pin x one dose up from weight on full moon then again 24 hours later. Then follow up again 2 weeks later during new moon 2 doses 24 hours apart. At the same time use Paraguard from zahlers as indicated for 30 days. Give 1 T raw pumpkin seeds. Pin x doesn’t kill, only paralyzes the worms, and does nothing to the eggs so they hatch 2 weeks later, parasites reproduce according to lunar cycle. Paraguard will make gut an inhospitable environment to them. Can repeat this protocol every few months. Dogs and horses get dewormed every six months, no reason humans shouldn’t.

Does she bite her nails, suck her thumb, put non food items in her mouth? Hand washing is the most important part of preventing the problem. With soap, for at least 20 seconds. I was so disgusted when I read that thread about people who don’t wash with soap after the bathroom.
Wash and dry towels, underwear, pjs, linen on hot. Change underwear every night and morning. Best if you can rinse her off in the morning as well.
You may have to treat the whole family if treating her alone is not working.

Cina 30 pellets and Reese's pinworm medicine. Don't use medicine more than a few times a year, as per doctor.

It’s hard but this habit is probably the reason you’re having such a hard time getting rid of it.

Yes definitely this.

She probably has a classmate or two with pinworms and the parents don’t know. Maybe ask the school to send a letter home to the class. My kids had this and there was nothing I could do since they were getting it at school.

Another possible culprit could be if they play with sand.

Garlic!!! I was told to roast garlic and spread it on challah every day. DD wouldn’t eat it. In desperation I bought garlic tablets (in the vitamin aisle). Worked like a charm - one a day for a few months. And she had been getting it over and over for months. She took Vermox three or four times but it kept coming back. Garlic got rid of it for good.

Yup garlic kills them. Push up a garlic capsule and they are gone. Had this with my daughter for a while and then did this. Worked wonders.

I'll second the vote for garlic. My daughter kept getting them as well, pin x just cleared it for the moment. I bought kyolic. gave her a few drops in a spoon mixed with orange juice twice daily for a few months. Also gave her a probiotic chewable daily. It worked amazingly, b"h never came back.

Don’t wanna rain on the garlic parade but I bought expensive garlic drops for my daughter (like $50 for a tiny bottle) and they did not work… just sharing my experience.

I've tried all of the above suggestions including treating the entire family.....
My kid keeps getting it. She's a thumb sucker. And the pinworms also give her tummy aches. I'm at my whits end.
This time I gave the pinx together with 3 days of laxatives, and bathes/wipedowns every morning and every night.
Just over a week ago we sanitized the house. All linens and fabrics that couldn't be washed with disinfectant or high heat, were put away for 3 weeks. This includes area rugs and fabric seats/couches from all bedrooms.
My guestroom is overrun......

The only thing I haven't tried is treating again 2 weeks later. I'll give pinx again in a few days.

I gave oneof my kids koyalic.
It made all the pinworms run down her tract to her bottom.... she woke up writhing on the floor in AGONY at around 1am. She was in such pain she wasn't able to speak to communicate what was hurting her. Just pointing to her bottom. I pulled her pants down and there were worms EVERYWHERE. I started yelling my husnad came running. I've never forgotten that sight and her haunting eyes and the intensity of it.
I'm so traumatized. I wish I never gave her that.
As soon as I got my bearings I grabbed a wire amd wiped her down just enough to be able to carry get down the hall to the bath and dunked her in a bath full of sugar and water. The worms that were still hurting her inside came to drink the water then I rinsed her and kept apologizing to her.

It's been over 5 years. It's so this fresh. 🤔😯

My dd who is a year and a half has also had pinworms for months despite taking medicine. If I order these garlic tablets:

https://www.puritan.com/purita.....aw.ds

should she be swallowing it or should I be putting it up like a suppository? How could I get her to swallow them?
