I bought loads on Friday, how long is it safe to eat?

Is it freezable?

If it was kept in a good cold fridge, can I freeze it now (bec. who knows what preservatives its made with), or did I miss the boat?

I wouldn’t freeze it at this point because the quality would not be that good when defrosted. I think it is still safe to eat today.

I would make salmon cakes today and freeze those if not eaten. Or I would make salmon salad sandwiches like tuna and eat immediately.

Thanks!

Im wondering if the Teriyaki sauce extends the life?

If I make salmon cakes, its ok to eat them after today?

But if the salmon isnt fresh, it isnt fresh...

The teriyaki sauce doesn’t extend the safe life. What it can do is mask the taste and texture of fish that isn’t pristine.

I suggested salmon cakes because you don’t need such delicious fish to make good tasting cakes. If you make the cakes today, I would freeze them immediately and then use the frozen cakes. You won’t add safe life to the fish but I don’t think the fish is unsafe today but just not as tasty as it was in Friday.

I would want to freeze it today though.
