does it makes sense to you?

did mindel steal her shidduch or not?

why is esther apologising?

there is resentment there and shlomo seemed to understand it all?

I am so confused as to whats going on here?

I think it was a great twist.
Finally, everything is out in the open!
Esther is apologizing because she realizes that Mindel was right and it's all in her head...

but why is it all in her head if the shidduch suggested for her was given to mindel?
mindel even joked about simonim like rochel and leah...?

Sounds to me like Esther is a drama queen, possibly with a personality disorder.
Mindel is trying her best to deal with her confusing sister.
But as with most relationships, an outsider can’t really know for sure. We don’t know their every interaction, and it’s possible that Mindel is the problem and Esther is suffering.
Or both. Sometimes everyone is a little messed up.

The drama of it was in her head. She was so convinced that her parent's only loved Mindel that she couldn't see the reality for what it was. She was obsessing over it in a unhealthy way, and is now admitting that she had no real reason to cut Mindel of like that...
Mindel was older, so when a good suggestion came, she was the one to go out with him...

Let’s say her parents did something wrong-
1. Not Mindel fault. Be mad at the parents
2. It’s a shidduch- if he liked mindel he would not have married Esther
3. Get over it. Move on

Esther does not sound stable. She thinks the world is out to get her.
She needed intense therapy as a teenager. She wasted away her marriage in spite of herself because she was 'supposed' to get married to mindels husband.Who said he would've even agreed to have married her? She sounds like Mindel's opposite if he went for her I doubt he would've gone for Esther.
Instead of dealing with her emotions/feelings she is seething mad for 20 years.
Stop living in the past!

I can't stop thinking about her husband, how unfair she was to him...
When she got engaged to Shlomo, I was like, what would Binyamin say to this

Can someone summarize what happened in the last chapter?
Who was the boy and his mother?
Thanks!

Yes, I think Mindel is asking too much.
I think it's not realistic and this shidduch wouldn't fly in real life.

I especially don't understand why Mindel thinks its the perfect timing to get Esther to twist herself into another emotional pretzel right now when she's still mourning her own broken engagement.
But even without that, one does not make a shidduch with bad middos, and Sara Martin in the story definitely has bad middos.

I thought the same.

in real life we run away from such people like sara. why should she be meshadech with her?
