Well between 8 pm and 12 am American time last night, it was there on the NYT website front and center. I checked in a few times to see the coverage and look for updates. What

Once it was resolved maybe they moved it off to have other breaking articles take its place.

BTW I think the media wave of the future is Substack. I'm subscribed to a few and they have some excellent unbiased coverage of news and current events. Pretty soon it will give traditional news media a real run for their money.

Maybe there was more info on their homepage during some brief interval. That's all there is now. The stories about the tennis player are still there, as are the stories about Omicron.

I got alerts from The NY Times about the hostage situation multiple times last night. It was clearly on the front page of the app and it was constantly being updated with information.

So "it" was on CNN. Did they identify the terrorist as a Muslim? Did they say he was a raging anti Semite who targeted Jews? We can stop with the mental gymnastics. It was not covered properly. Most articles made it sound like a random hostage situation and not a Muslim in a synagogue. And yes on Twitter most were more concerned about anyone pointing out it was a Muslim and they didn’t care it involved Jews.

My point is that it's ridiculous to claim that the Jewish angle wasn't downplayed by the media, and that this particular headline -- regardless of who ran it -- was a particularly pointed example of that.

Now, I'm not claiming that a British paper would ignore the fact that the perpetrator appeared to be a Brit. I'm just saying that they were excessively careful in making sure the headline didn't reveal that Muslim-Jewish element of the story.

The fact, that to prove your point, you had to go outside the US, pretty much invalidates it.
And the Telegraph (which is a center Right paper), follow up article is also makes no bones about him being Muslim.

Maybe read the whole article next time. (I realize it requires a paid subscription), or don't rely on screenshots intended to manipulate a story.

Probably bec it ended peacefully. But they were absolutely reporting on it last night
