For a gold watch- I found L&M to be the most affordable. They have great customer service with a nice selection.

Not sure if it would be socially off but it might be worth making sure he wants one. My husband doesn't wear or like watches and didn't want to say anything. BH he did end up telling me and my parents got him something else that he actually wanted.

try Lakewood watches in ocean point. He’s a real mentch and really helpful.
I am not in the chosson watch buying stage but I got something there for my mother and was very happy there. He has all price ranges.

We asked the Chosson to send pictures od what he likes, and got a from a store in BP Ultimate Time, was a Raymond Weil metal band. Lakewood stores didn't have that style. Was under 1k.
