Would you mind linking such a sink insert?

I do it. Counter, table, oven, sinks and fridge. It's one of the highlights of my pesach prep, tbh

Find out if your rov requires/recommends one. Ours doesn't.

I kasher my kitchen Dh just watches me kasher sinks because I can't see so well through the steam.

My mother always kashers her kitchen. My father is not part of the process. We kids, as we got older, helped.

Fridge does not need kashering or covering. It's all cold.
Just cleaning.

I did it last year when my husband was in holland when I wanted to turn over. I got the kids to take down the boxes.

Dh kashers the sinks with boiling water and a stone for good measure.

We don't kasher the counters. We cover them. We don't like hot water dripping down the wood cabinets.

How does he do that? Does he pour boiling water over the stone and into the sink? I'm trying to figure out how that's done, might be acceptable to our Rav.

No kashering for fridge, but we do cover it with fridge liners. Probably a chumrah/minhag.

That’s what we do after it gets thoroughly cleaned. The year of Covid lockdown when I was very sick pesach time - I remember realizing that my fridge shelves weren’t covered and my kids were placing pesach food directly onthe shelves. Not that I cared about anything back then other than staying alive as I was burning up with 103 fever … I mentioned to someone that my fridge was never lined and they told me that it wasn’t necessary halachically to line but more of a chumrah. I had no idea. I still plan on lining this year since it’s just something I’ve always done and saw in my parents house too.

Same, except when we did our kitchen I specifically picked granite so we could lashed it! Now DH says it’s too much of a pain….maybe when DS is old/strong enough he will help me, but DH will probably want to still cover the counters anyway, knowing him, so what would be the point?
I’m not doing anything strenuous by myself this year because I’m in the first trimester of pregnancy and I’m not feeling great and I also don’t want to push myself too hard because my last pregnancy ended with a miscarriage. My cleaning lady has been doing all the bedrooms, and I will probably ask her and/or my kids do do the fridge/freezer and cabinets, if I decide to use any. My older kids will help my husband empty off the counter, and I will wipe it down.

Wow, I did not realize so many women did this job. I have to do it because my husband is incapable and sometimes I am resentful.
We kasher sinks and counters. My rav doesn’t hold that any part of the oven/stovetop can be used on pesach.
We cover all counters with a double layer, and the fridge/freezer with a single layer. Insert in the sink and all faucets get covered with a cloth.
It’s exhausting and time consuming.

Question for those who use sink inserts: if you are using an insert, why go to the trouble of lash wrong the sink? Why not just wash it down well? Whatever is left isn’t chametz, and anything that gets on the outside bottom or sides of the inserts isn’t chametz either.

Yep.

My DH does the Kashering, and I stay far away from the kitchen until he is done. Best scenario for my SB.

I wouldn't have an issue doing the Kashering myself (I have a funny feeling my cabinets would last some percentage longer if I did....) but it's an area I keep out of. And make no comments on. Well. to the best of my ability LOL.

Also a chumra.
Even melaben.

The brick/rock thing is burning hot, held with tongs or in the metal basket tong that is sold in stores... It's an added measure to make sure the water is still boiling.
the wAter kind of hits the rock as is being poured, making it sizzle more.

I don't use it.
My mother does

Yes that's how he does it. He also holds the red hot stone high over the spigot and faucet and pours the boiling hot water over the stone and over the spigot/faucet hardware.
It's a chumra but when we do the stainless sinks like this, we don't have to do the other chumra of sink inserts which I don't like to use.

Hagala is needed on a stainless steel sink. Not libun.
If it’s a ceramic sink, a liner or insert is needed.
