I just bought a business now without thinking about it, after being a stay at home mom for the past 5 years. I am freaking out inside.

My mental and physical health are not the greatest and I have no idea what I was thinking. I don't have time for this

On the other hand I will be seeing some other sane(?) adults during the day so idk. Also, if I ever want to leave my marriage I'll be set up.

I’m in my 30 and still trying to figure out how to be a grown-up. But at the same time I feel mentally like I’m old and washed out. Thanks, dysfunctional childhood. Applause

As someone else wrote, I hate trends. I don’t want to look like a sheep. Or maybe because I don’t want to try to compete, because I’d lose the competition anyway. Or maybe because if I blended in, I’d disappear. Or maybe because I just don’t care.

I would get tattood up if I could.

I prefer winter over summer.

My favorite show is parenthood.

I never baked challah. 😳 I think I’m going to try.

I would get a teeny tiny tatoo.
A classy one.

I like how Bekka from the bachelorette had one on her hand. Not a cross obviously but something neat.

I prefer summer all the way. Just for this year.
The winter was mighty depressing 😞

This opportunity somehow evolved. It was not something I planned on. I was hoping to be an author, actually.

Hey am I too late to the party?

I'm in my 30s and newly addicted to imamother. Like for real addicted.

My husband is not happy about it one bit.

For reference, we're the type you'd be shocked that I even know how to log in here. Never had internet in the house till corona hit, then got rid of it half a year later, sometime after that it was back. I'm on imamother for about 5 months now and I can't seem to get off.

Part of me is so sick of it, but another part is sooo attached. I guess that's what addiction is?

Keep thinking I should post about that, but how exactly do I phrase such a thing? And how in the world does such a thing make sense - opening a thread about how I need to get outa here?

Are you running away from something? What void is it filling?

Even if you have some techniques to control it, you will probably seek to fill the void another way.

Just controlling here are some things I tried.
I didn't charge my phone at night.
So it usually died at around 9-10 in the morning, and I went to take care of stuff.
Once I was distracted with other stuff I didn't check my phone until I sat down again.
Another one was closing my account.
You can always reopen it if you decide to.
Take a 2 week break. You can still read but not post.
So that takes some of the passion away.

I actually have a TAG-ed flip phone!
I go on imamother on my laptop.
I also do other work related things on the laptop, so I come on here for "kosher" things, then end up getting caught up.
It's mostly at night, but lately I often come to check what's new before work, after work, and other random times.
My husband's latest "rule" he's trying to get me to agree to is no computer time at all until after the kids are in bed. Somehow, I usually need some chill time when I get home from work, and if the kids are happy or playing outside or whatever, I'll come here.
