Dc will be transitioning from a small special ed class/school to a mainstream larger class. Hopefully dc will have a health para to assist (dc has medical needs).
Dc will also have therapy (OT, PT, speech). can a child get tutoring or special ed services in NYS? Afraid child will miss school often due to health needs and not be able to catch up...
Also, can a child in NYS get related services in the home or at a center after school hours vs in school? (Or is this very district dependent)
Any info/help appreciated.
I’m kind of navigating this on my own, school is not very helpful...

You can get p3 -setts this can be in school or out of school. There are places that have it after school. Also other services it depends on the provider if you have an rsa etc

I was told that it's hard to get a para. It might help if you find someone that can do it and they join the agency

Zigi-
Are you sure this is available in NYS? I thought it was a NYC thing?
