I don’t know where to put this….
I love the summer & it’s such a short season where I live

We moved last year (rent, don’t own) & my backyard is very plain & ugly & not inviting

Want to make it more appealing but don’t want to put a lot money into something I don’t own.
I need some ideas to make it more inviting.
It’s just grass with no patio stones.
There is one huge tree in the middle that attracts a lot of birds & there’s a lot of bird poo on my lawn chairs.
I don’t know where to start

You can put a gazebo that can be taken down and taken with you when you move.
Under the gazebo put a nice backyard set with couches, chairs, and a table or a fire pit.
Put some potted plants. You can take those with you as well.

That would depend on how big your backyard is.
You can go to Home Depot or Lowes and get something under a $1,000.
Of course, there are more expensive options, as well. Here's just a sampling:

Also, if you live near Walmart, you can go browse their seasonal section. You can often find metziahs there.
I got a swing bench for $40 and a BBQ for a few dollars.

It's been 4 years & my own house & I'm still figuring it out.. paet of my wish list:

Lighting: you can get String lights that look really cozy at night. If you have a fence you can get those solar lights that go over each post

A fire pit surrounded by wicker seating

Don't keep chairs under the tree to avoid bird poop.

Plants. This depends on the size of the yard. Besides for potted plants can you pile bricks into little round areas & plant flowers shrubs in them?
You can do 2 pedestal pots in either side of the door, filled of flowers.

Does the tree have a low enough branch that is strong enough to hold weight? If yes you can hang some kind of bench swing, hammock, hanging chair etc ( if you don't use it you can place flowers pots in them
