What kind of pants would a 7 year old boy wear on Shabbos? (both for shul, and for afternoon play)
He would probably be wearing a colored button down shirt. In the fall/winter, he would wear a sweater instead.
He wears chinos to school so what is a step nicer without being suit pants? Or maybe I should get him suit pants?

My son that age wears dress pants. I have a few pairs of calvin klein from amazon, issac mizrachi from amazon and some armando martillo.

Yes. Shabbos is shabbos. My kid that age goes to pirchei after lunch and then we usually go to the park or he has a playdate. No changing.
