Anyone did an extension recently that can tell me what it costs and what they renovated? I’m looking into adding a second floor to my 1500 square foot ranch in Jackson. Changing around first floor a bit to switch existing bedrooms to more living space. Leaving most of the kitchen the way it is etc.

I follow a contractors WhatsApp status and back in February he posted progress of a ranch that he added a second floor to. I asked him what it was costing them he said about 300k all in. They gutted the first floor but left the kitchen. Was a 1400 sf ranch.

Was the contractor saying 300k was his costs? Or what he charged a client? Ty

not in Jackson but in middle of doing this and we were quoted 300k but it will be closer to 350k when we are finished. We also did a lot of work on the first floor including new kitchen

What the customer paid, but I think materials have gone up since then
