Hi! Looking to buy a used doona. ASAP. Anyone have one laying around and not using it...? It's quite hard for me to spend $600 now. I'm in BP but can figure out arrangements in Monsey or Lakewood neighborhoods

I took my sisters doona that she used for 14 months.
I used it for 16 months, lent it to a friends neighbor who used it for 6 months, and then gave it to my sil whos using it for 9 months already.
All using since birth..

So my sisters doona had 4 babies who used it daily and she did so much chesed with it..
and Im due iyh early winter and wondering if its still usable!

And the doona isnt even 4 years old yet

Bellflower are you offering to lend out the Doona?
She clearly doesn't have anyone lending her their stroller. I was in the same boat and bought used on Craigslist/OfferUp for very cheap bH

We tried OfferUp places an offer by a few and non responded. Dh was wondering if it's fraudulent. That's why I posted here.

A carseat is no longer safe after it's been in an accident due to internal stuff. There's no way to tell from the outside if it still safe.

I was personally only comfortable buying from a yid for that exact reason, I know it's not foolproof but it is what I was comfortable with.

Op get on yad shniya and check it frequently - it is possible to be fast enough! I've done it twice. Hatzlacha! And if you need for the first few weeks and don't find, check if there is a doona gemach in your area - there's one in mine for short term.

Also if there are whatsapp groups in your area, post wherever you can think of, and be prepared to pay close to full price...

If you can’t get a Doona you can go to a store like Target, Walmart, or Buy Buy Baby, or even Amazon, and get a travel system - a stroller with an infant car seat that will click onto it. Also very convenient, and generally around $200

OP, if you can't afford a doona, get a cheaper car seat!!! I cannot understand how someone can compromise on safety because they must be in style! I'm telling you your baby will survive in a different car seat. Even if you want a doona. Get a car seat within your budget. A doona is not a must have.

The offerups that are shipping offers are usually fraud so search pickup only and always offer less than they ask for. I got mine for 150 that way a month ago. Just check daily. Offer someone 200 and see what happens

I bought mine on ebay. Twice, I sold the 1st one 5 years ago. Using my 2nd one now, and will sell on again when I'm done with it.
