Not sure if there’s already a thread on this but what are you planning to serve for shaleh shudes this week in preparation for the fast?

quinoa gives a nice feeling, before and after the fast, because it releases carbs slowly and keeps you satisfied for a long time. Long enough to go to bed and fall asleep.

We divide the table in half, for people who wants fleishigs and people who want milchigs. Fleishig people get schnitzel and leftovers from the Shabbos meals. Milchig people get baked ziti. Both get a parve chunky soup if they'd like.

I'd assume there are two options. Either it is a cold soup, which can be very good in hot weather, or else they leave it on the platta right through Shabbos. The second option might be a bit heavy after cooking for that long.
