Same as we do every shabbat, all year round, for all 3 seudot. Electric hotplate (plata).

I am continuously surprised that so many people on imamother ask how to warm up food on shabbat. I really always thought everyone uses a plata like we do!

I put it on top of my crock put. Same idea.

It's brought down that erev Yom kippur one should not eat fish in the seuda hamafsekess because of sakana getting a bone stuck. I have not seen this minhag for any other fast. In fact, my husband is makpid to have fish at every shabbos/Yom tov meal, including this week shalosh seudos.

There's no Seudas Hamafsekes when the fast of Tisha B'Av is on Sunday.

I was thinking potato knishes, schnitzel and split pea soup (although I think my husband will be weirded out by soup when it's so hot but I think I'll be in the mood). Now I think I'll add sushi salad after seeing it on this thread.

We don’t put food on a hot plate on Shabbos. If we put it there on Friday, that’s okay. I’m sure that not everyone holds of doing it your way, hence the questions!

(And we’d only put food on the crockpot if there’s food in the crockpot. We don’t put food on a כדירה רקה - empty vessel, overturned empty foil pan)

After the terrible fire that claimed the Sassoon family I've been wary of hotplates.

Of course everyone has their own Rav to ask, but ours allows כדירה רקה on a hot plate with no temperature adjustment...

So, I've been mulling this over all week!
My people like fleishigs before the fast. But my delicious meat is in a gravy and I can't heat that up on Shabbos. So, I thought and thought and today someone gave me an idea. So, I am going to make.........shepherd's pie! It's without a gravy and it's delish and I think everyone will love it.
I will also serve chicken soup
Fresh salad
Tabouleh (bulgur with greens and veggies)
Sweet Potatoes
Watermelon

And, of course - (spelt) challah.
