In order not to get overwhelemed I wanted to know what is a basic checklist of things we should take for our travel ? (I am not good with this and always "forget" something.

Havdalah set if they don't make one for everyone
disposable shabbos tableware, tablecloth etc. to set ur table if eating in room
shabbos timer if you want to set lights
tape to put by door if there are no manual keys
remember to tape fridge light in room and set the thermostat and put valuables in safe if you'll want to leave ur room on shabbos and cant lock it due to electric
Also bring enough drinks! last time we went we were so thirsty and had to ask random ppl for water bc the tap was kind of gross
oh also remember to ask for tissue boxes from front desk so you arent stuck with the toilet paper rolls on shabbos
which hotel are you going to?

We bought this, then fill in with new/additional tea lights until it wears out.
https://www.eichlers.com/shabb.....w_wcB
Something for kiddush and motzei -- grape juice/wine, challah, a cloth napkin or challah cover.
Think about foods that can be eaten cold, unless the hotel is heating them for you. We bring salads, wraps, chicken fingers, dips.
Plates, napkins, cups, cutlery unless they are provided. And if you are eating in your room, something to cover the table.
A bentcher and a siddur.

I like to make a list by going through a typical Shabbos and figure out what I use.
So for Friday night:
candles
matches
fire safe surface on which to place the candles
reading material
grape juice
becher
bentcher
challah
(we use napkins for challah cover)
knife (I find I need a knife for so many other things)
food for meal
hot plate to keep food warm (we keep hot water for coffee on it)
disposable plates, bowls, cups, napkins, forks, spoons, tablecloths
water bottles to drink
Shabbos morning:
coffee
milk
cereal
pastries
food for meal
Shabbos afternoon:
toys for kids (pack small and smart but variety)
food for shalosh seudos
Motzei Shabbos:
havdala candle (or two candles put together)
besamim
Separately create a list of what you need any time you go away as a family to a hotel. Save this list in your suitcase so that you don't need to recreate it each time.
Some miscellaneous items we find useful (aside from clothes for everyone lol):
noise machine, baby wipes, swimwear, if you have girls - extra pony holders, homemade first aid kit (bandaids, tylenol, bacitracin, etc.)

Don't forget salt for Challah.
If you make any salads oil, mayo, pepper, spices, dressing, sauces.
Condiments like dips, pickles, coleslaw, ketchup.
Bags, silver paper, foil pans, containers, straws, garbage bags, hot cups if they don't have for coffee
Coffee, hot cocoa, sugar, Splenda
Challah knife, milk & meat knife if needed. Utensils for serving, ladle for soup or you can use a hot cup. Can opener if needed.
Freeze pops. Cake, candy, chocolate, snacks, watermelon, fruit. Veggies. Besides for your main meal food.
Benadryl, Tylenol, adult/kids. Tums. Medicines, also ones in fridge.
Bibs.
Nail clippers.
Hair accesories.
I am just writing things that are usually forgotten not entire list

Are you allowed to light candles in the room? Do they have a place in the lobby to light?
I have never been to that hotel, but some do have policies.

Most important of all donβt make a chillul hashem.
Ensure all furniture are in place as you found them, no crumbs on the carpet, remove any tape you applied and follow hotel rules!
