Im trying to do my wig myself. I want to get that pony mark kind of wave. I dont know what its called. Like one bump. Im not sure how to describe. Anyone know what I mean? How can I get it? With a curling iron or straight iron? My wig is a bit layered if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

Loose crimp. But make sure to mention that you only want one crimp. (Though I think you need at least 2 for it to look right.)

This is not what op means. It looks like a pony rubber was taken out of a pony

I’ve been wondering too!!
Can’t figure out how to do it because it doesn’t seem to be done with a curling iron.
It’s like one bend, not a curl or even a crimp…

A technique similar to this is used.
Mainly, start off with the hair straight. Watch how he curls just one twist in the center of the strand and rolls out the curling iron from the curl in a twist
without releasing the clamp. That's the part you should try to imitate.
Edited for typos.

Excuse my cluelessness, but why would anyone deliberately try to make their wig look like it had a crimp from a rubber band in it? Surely you don't think it's an attractive look? I can remember my friends getting upset that their real hair got this crimp in it if they put their hair in an elastic when it was wet.
But in matters of taste there is no dispute, so if you think it looks pretty, why can't you do just that: slightly dampen the hair where you want the crimp to appear, put it in an elastic or large barrette and let it dry like that?

It's a neater look then say beach waves. It's a more of an elegant look then plain sleek. It contours your face, so yes it's a very attractive look.

I'm happy to hear it helped you. It's a fabulous account, he's a true master hair artist.
