Hi,
I have an everyday long straight wig.
Its not a lace but its quite flat on top.
I did get a few layers cut at the beginning mainly round the front but its still very long mainly one length.
I do not like it on me.
I cannot wear it down plain because its just too much. Unless I would pull front pieces flat round my ears to hold it in place.
I always wear it half up or in a full pony.
Or with hairband or clipped up.
And Im always messing with the sides and earpieces that it covers all my hair on the sides.
I generally really prefer a softer look, with bangs or layers framing the face but once I do that I wont have it off my face.
I want to cut the length anyway a bit cos I feel like its too much.
But also want a nicer style , I dont know what thought
IM quite short and not skinny.
My face is average, nose is big.
Iv no idea what to do next with it.
Any advice?
When I first bought it couldnt stand the idea of no fringe, and sh.macher lit begged me not to cut, and I listened and I am happy its all off my face. But I dont like the look so much.
Does not enhance my features

try on a bunch of different precut styles. Take along a friend whose judgment and taste you trust. Tell the salesperson what your preferences are and have her select models that fill those criteria. Have your friend take pix of you from all sides so you can judge the look all around.

I agree that the best way to know what to do next is to try on some pre-cuts. It's so hard to know until you actually have a visual. Then you might be able to adjust the wig to your liking!
