I’ve always tried to give my kids teachers’ Rosh Hashana gifts of some kind. Usually something small like nice honey jar or something…Is this something other people do?

Most don't. It's an unexpected bonus, but always appreciated. I get maybe one or 2 pre Rosh Hashanah gift every year or 2. I've received mini honey and some apple shaped cookies, a small chocolate gift box that said Shanahan tovah, simanim card with a honey straw, etc
