How do you keep the room looking airy and beautiful?
What color tablecloth do you keep on your table during the week?

my chairs are dark brown with cream colored upholstery. my floors are dark too.
the room needs a major facelift without replacing the expensive basics like furniture, I can't scrape....

any tips?

I have a cream/beige tablet with some nice faux flowers.
Add more LED lights. It makes all of the difference.

All of my furniture is dark brown or dark blue... lots of wooden items. My place looks comfortable but also not too much like a dungeon lol

Here are my tips:

1) Implement glass. I have a glass table and lots of glassware decorated around. Looks beautiful naturally when the sunlight hits.

2) Artwork. I have a lot of pictures of rabbonim and friends/family in picture frames, but also a few paintings that are colorful. You'd be surprised how well a painting can compliment a room.

3) Flowers. I save real flowers for shabbos, but having fake ones placed around brightens up the space (also I'm allergic to flowers so I can't have real ones too much!)

PS. I don't use a tablecloth during the week. It's just a dark hardwood table.

my dining room is not that large. I'm trying to minimize decor and stuff so that it doesn't look cluttered. the table isnt so nice anymore so I need to keep it covered but I can't figure out which color looks pretty and classy but not clowny.

Hang up 1 big colorful painting as a center focal point (yes remove anything drab).

Remove tbe tablecloth. It closes up the room. Enjoy the beauty of the wooden table (top it with glass so you're not worried about scratching the furniture, and so you have added sheen).

Add a white orchid plant in the middle of the wood table.

What colors are the walls? Are there cabinets you can paint? What furniture is in the room (built in or not)? What window fixtures and lighting do you currently have? Anything on the walls?

I'd opt for a runner rather than a tablecloth if your table can handle it.

I have 2 curios and a buffet, not many walls, one wall I'm debating if I should put a large mirror or painting. I'm unsure. I'm reluctant to make holes in the walls.

maybe I'll try the no tablecloth look.

Dunno. I got many comments on the picture like why it's mountains and not traditional trees.
Pink, the price is based on size of this one. I took one of the bigger ones but you can adjust it in the size option

I have a light colored tablet on my table so you don't have that dark slab of wood like a naked table, but it doesn't close up the room the way a tablecloth would. Faux flowers in the center. Otherwise, nothing else hanging. White window shades. Walls painted light neutral color. And bright white lights, preferably no light fixture.
