We had the same experience trying to find someone last year in the NYC area. There are very few. I don’t remember the names but there was one recommended dr affiliated with LIJ and one with NYU, both female.

OP I heard columbia has a very good nephrology department. would you like to try there ? I also think you should reach out to chaim medical they should be able to refer you to a good doctor

If you are prepared to go to Long Island, Dr. Kumail Merchant came highly recommended by my son's urologist and he seems really good.
