Question in title. Last night I dropped my baby in carseat and it fell down a flight of stairs with my baby in it. I was trying to catch it and fell down after it. Bh bh we're all totally fine, I just got a few banged fingers and bruises.
Is the carseat still safe? I know you're supposed to replace a carseat after a crash, is this equivalent?

I don’t think it is. It absorbed the impart of the fall and protected baby. But it’s really a one time use. You can call the company to be sure they tell you which things cause it to be replaced. Personally I would replace it.

Personally I would replace, why take the chance that it might not be as effective in case of an accident?
They say they need to be replaced even in minor accidents, which I would definitely equate this to

I would replace it. It absorbed quite a bit of shock and impact.
