The dean is Estee Friedman-Stefansky, Principal at Manhattan High School for Girls.

It is looking to attract a diverse Bais Yaakov crowd, not just from new York.

They are looking for solid BY girls. It's going to be very academic, text based learning, but also balanced with hashkafa. There will also be electives so girls can choose certain classes. I think the learning style in general will be different - not another a year of high school.

I heard it's been started/backed by Eli Stefansky. Mrs. Rosenblum is the Menahales. Could be there also others who will working there.

Just trying to get updated info on this seminary. I've been hearing very conflicting things: is it trying to attract a Machon Raaya crowd? Bnos Chava crowd? Bnos Sara crowd? Does anyone know any girls applying to this seminary?

A few of my students applied to this seminary... They are bright, not "jappy", not materialistic, wholesome very solid frum girls.
