I work with him (I am part of another practice) at community medical center; he is a fine physician. He is old school (in a good way).

What does that mean? Is he familiar with frum practices?

He runs North Dover Obgyn that used to have a midwife group that was popular with the Lakewood crowd looking for a midwife. Those midwives and the original group of doctors left and formed OCOAG. So he's been around a long time but it's a whole different group now.

Dr Sutherland recently retired. He had heart surgery and had to retire. His practice North Dover OBGYN has several other fine physicians. Dr Azu, Dr Bonvicino, Dr Saini, and Dr Maxwell (all women). They Cross cover (mostly weekends) with OGOA. Hatzlocha to all!

Have you used them? Are you happy with them? Do you know what their c section rate is?

Short answer - They have a high c section rate.
Long answer- They are good physicians but because they are not working with a frum crowd (or ppl planning to have big families) they have no big incentive to keep the section rate down. Understand that many of c section risk factors are more serious with future pregnancies (so when someone is having one or 2 kids, it is major surgery but 1)they do not have the risks further on in their child bearing yrs and 2)they don't come home to a big family to take care of post surgery. So they have not "practiced" the art of avoiding c sections and are quick to cut for sure. For example they do not allow pts with 2 prior c sections to even try to VBAC although ACOG recommends it.
