Unlike the old fashioned kinds of lamps with bulbs, LED lights won't go back on if you've had a blackout. Something to consider if you have lots of outages

I find that facing the open part of the kosher lamp (the light) toward the wall makes the whole room bright. (Instead of facing the light window outward)

Photographer here. This is true if your wall is white and smooth. If your wall is a dark gray or even a white with a rough texture, it won’t reflect the light as well.

If you put a medium or large mirror near the lamp, shine it towards the mirror, it will multiply the light a lot!

It’s interesting because I find when I do that, the reflection is too blinding.

I find the shabbos lamp works regardless of the wall. Photographer too…

I find the travel Shabbos lamp to be burn your eyeballs bright.
